Zelma Jean (Haley) Moran, 101, of Science Hill, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born May 12, 1921 in Brooksville, Kentucky; daughter of the late Albert L. & Anna J. (Hatfield) Haley. She was a homemaker and a member of Science Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Jim Moran of Science Hill; two daughters, Karen Jean Powell of Richmond and Rachel Anne & (Greg) Williams of Somerset; three grandchildren, Jason & (Tammy) Powell, Jarrod Powell, and Jessica & (Richard) Walker; six grandchildren, Dylan, Luc, & Dayne Powell, Nicholas & Andrew Walker, and Tristan & (Jake) Dale; and a great-great-grandchild, Madison Dale.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Allen Moran; three brothers, Garnett, Glenn, and Leo Haley; two sisters, Elsie Haley and Chloe Schiltz; and a daughter-in-law, Susie Moran.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Science Hill United Methodist Church with Bro. Glenn Cox officiating.
Burial will be in the Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Science Hill United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Gideons International.
