Jewell Dick
March 2, 1929 — August 31, 2022
Utha Jewell Dick, 93, of Science Hill, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
She was born March 2, 1929 in Somerset; daughter of the late James Howard & Susie Lee (Calhoun) Hall. She worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach and was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed mowing her yard, gardening, working in her flowers, and growing strawberries.
She is survived by a son, Richard Willie & (Silvia) Dick of Corpus Christi, Texas; a daughter, Melissa Darlene Gilliam of North Carolina; and three sisters, Betty Ruth Surber of Indiana, Lily Swisher of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Nola New of Albany, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Analisa, Alex, Alexis, and Haley; and three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Braden, and Dillon.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Willie Dick and her siblings, Paul Hall, Leslie Hall, Bill Hall, Dorothy Clines, Marie Clines, and Avalene Anderson.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Howard Godbey officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
