Timothy Dale Hibbard

Timothy Dale “Tim” Hibbard, 50, of the Shopville Community passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from injuries sustained in a logging accident.

Tim was born on August 22, 1968; son of Brenda Burdine Hibbard, and the late Jerry Dale Hibbard. He was the owner and operator of Hibbard Logging. Tim enjoyed the outdoors immensely. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, coon hunter, and enjoyed auctioneering for local charity events. He was a secretary and member of Long Hollow Coon Club, and the NRA. Tim enjoyed four wheeling, and spending time with his family, especially his son Logan and his loving wife, Trish. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. Tim was the Sunday School Superintendent and a long-time member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

Tim is survived by his wife, Trisha Smith Hibbard, whom he married on February 8, 1991; his son, Logan Aaron Hibbard; his mother, Brenda Gaye Burdine Hibbard & fiancé (Buford Howard); a sister, Sheila Hibbard Smith & (Frank); a brother, Tyler Hibbard & (Johnnie Boston); an uncle, Bobby Hibbard & (Pam) of London; four aunts, Shirley Hibbard Mason; Janet Moore; Judy Poynter & (Everett); and Linda VanHook & (Herschel); a niece, Stephanie "Lucy" Smith Reynolds & (Robert), and nephew, Cody Frank “Cody Jack” Smith; special friends, Kevin Bullock and Jay Dykes; two special great-nieces, Emery and Madison Reynolds; and numerous cousins, friends, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dale Hibbard; his father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Bill and Bell Smith; his paternal grandparents, Darl and Maranda Hibbard; and maternal grandparents, Jesse Everett & Ruby Ella Burdine.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Bullock, Bro. Bradley Goforth, and Bro. Larry Proffitt officiating.

Burial will be in Hibbard Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.

Visitation for Tim Hibbard will be after 5 PM Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
