Shirley Dale Thompson

Shirley Dale Thompson, 75, of Eubank, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born June 18, 1946 in Bandy, KY; daughter of the late James and Emma Brown Stevens. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hazeldale Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family, and attending church with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her, knowing her as one who was a kind and loving person.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold Thompson, whom she married on November 23, 1962; two daughters, Lisa & (Elmer) Presley and Tammy & (Danny) Griffis, both of Somerset; three sisters, Gusta "Sis" Elder of Florence, KY; Juanita McHargue of Indianapolis, IN; Delores McClure of Mt. Vernon, KY; four grandchildren, Devin Presley, Tanner Presley, Megan Presley, Daniel & (Courtney) Griffis; two ladies that were like granddaughters, Samantha Chaney and Brooklyn Chaney; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 siblings, Phil Stevens, Geneva "Neve" Elder, Faye Hickman, Marie "Ree" Goff, Beulah Hart, and Jeanette "Jean" Cook.

A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.

Burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Willailla, KY.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
