Shirley V Ross

Shirley V. Ross, 89, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab.

She was born January 4, 1937 to the late Hurston & Stella (Waddle) Wilson in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Shirley was a faithful member of Ansel Baptist Church for many years and had a deep love for the Lord. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, mission trips, and spending time with a good book. Her love of reading was something she proudly passed on to her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon & (Terry) Keith; her son, Doug & (Kathy) Ross; her grandchildren, Terra & (Ryan) Childers, Hillary & (Mike) Campbell, Alicia Keeney, and Mitchell Keeney; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Rhett, and Reed Childers, Ryleigh and Buc Campbell, Maddox & (Sarah) Louthen, and Clara Keeney; and a great-great-grandchild, Delilah Louthen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Ross; and her parents.

The family would like to thank Somerset Nursing & Rehab for taking great care of Shirley during her time there.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Woodcock officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until time for services.

Burial will be at Buncombe Cemetery.
