Shirley Hibbard Mason

Shirley Ann Hibbard Mason, 81, of Somerset, passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born in the Buffalo Community in Rockcastle Co., on November 29, 1937; daughter of the late Darl and Miranda Randolph Hibbard. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and attended Line Creek Baptist Church, and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Larry Wendell "Wendy" & (Nora) Mason of Berea; Wayne & (Pam) Mason of Waynesburg; a brother, Bobby & (Pam) Hibbard of London; five grandchildren, Misty & (Eugene) Evans, Joshua Wendell Mason, Melissa Kay Mason, Brittany Mason, and Hillary Campbell; six great-grandchildren, Hunter Mason, Taylor Mason, Braden Spoonamore, Kaylee Grace Naylor, Zaiden Mason, and Katlin Mason; a sister-in-law, Brenda Hibbard Howard & (Buford); a very special niece, Sheila "Sis" Hibbard Smith; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Mason; her parents, Darl and Miranda Randolph Hibbard; a grandson, Jonathan Mason two brothers, Doyle Dean Hibbard, and Jerry Dale Hibbard; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Hibbard and Clorene Hibbard.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2019 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown and Bro. Jack Harris officiating.

Burial will follow in Skaggs Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
