Shirley Louise Hendricks Gooch, 81, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at her home.
Shirley was born in Eubank, Kentucky on January 23, 1937, daughter of the late Herman and Ophia Todd Hendricks. Shirley worked as a salesperson at Watsons Department Store for 20 years. She was a member of Estesburg Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim Gooch, three children, Connie & (Bob) Anderson of Science Hill, Kathy & (Danny) Carroll of Somerset and Michael & (Gail) Gooch of Science Hill, grandchildren, Jennifer Witt, Jon, Marc, Tiffany, Brad and Joshua Anderson, Jimmy Dan Carroll, Ashley, Makayla and Makenzie Gooch, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ronald Hendricks and one grandson, Tommy Lee Gooch.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Green officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:30 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Science Hill Garden Club.
