Shirley Dick

Shirley Fay Dick, 85, of Science Hill, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born April 2, 1938 in Argyle, Kentucky; daughter of the late Oakley & Martha (Godbey) Phelps. Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the Valley Oak Baptist Church. She loved listening to music, reading the bible, and reading in general.

She is survived by a son, Bobby & (Michele) Dick; daughter, Vickie Holtzclaw; siblings, Alvy & (Beulah) Phelps, Lillian Dick, and Ricky & (Kathy) Phelps; sister-in-law, Shelia Phelps; grandchildren, Matthew & (Estelle) Howard, Brandi Holtzclaw, Greg Holtzclaw, Kyle & (Lekiesha) Moore, Destini Wyre, and Tyler Moore; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Mattie, Emma, Jamon, Bryson, Aaliyah, Braylon, Kaiden, and AyraBella; and a host of nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Dick; siblings, Lewis Phelps and Louise Godbey; and brothers-in-law, Bud Dick and Lyt Godbey.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Valley Oak Cemetery with Bro. Troy Merrick officiating.
