Shena Hensley

Shena Gail Hoover Hensley, 52, of Brodhead, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 following a long illness.

Shena was born on August 4, 1973 to the late James Hoover and Shirley (Pence) Strain in Pulaski County, Kentucky. She was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life and took great pride in being the family historian, preserving and sharing the stories and memories that connected generations.

Shena is survived by her mother, Shirley & (Harrison) Strain; her 2 daughters, Latosha & (Matt) Debord and Cheyene Hensley; a granddaughter, Hadley Debord; a grandson, Hayden Debord; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and many others that loved her and will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Hoover; her daughter, Grace Hensley; and her grandmother and grandfather, Grover & Stella Pence, whom she loved very much and was her pride and joy.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Etna Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until time for services.
