Sarah Young

Sarah Elizabeth Young, 66, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025 at her residence.

Sarah was born on July 20, 1959 to the late LeRoy & Imogene (Pennington) Baker in London, Kentucky. She found joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life. She was a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church. Sarah loved horseback riding and felt most at peace when surrounded by nature. Her cats were truly her babies, each one cherished and loved deeply. She had a special passion for flowers of all kinds, delighting in their beauty and the happiness they brought. Above all, Sarah treasured time spent with her family and friends, whose lives were made richer by her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.

She is survived by her children, Clarence Davis, Jr. & (Corenna Johnson) and Marsha & (Shannon) Wilson; her grandchildren, Sarah & (Devin) Cowan, Jeremy Edward Davis, Eric Wilson, Austin Wilson, and Haley Johnson; a great-grandchild, Graclynn Paige Sizemore; her siblings, Mary Goforth, Dora Gill, Norma & (Rick) Floyd, and Pete & (Amanda) Baker; a close family friend, Anna Hines; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rickey Young; her parents; a sister, Ruby Gill; a brother, William Lee; and a brother who died in infancy, Denzil Baker.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2025 in the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Goforth officiating.

Burial will be at Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
