Salena G. Rutherford, 53, of Eubank, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023, at her residence.
She was born July 1, 1970 in Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter of Larry Merritt and the late Brenda (Walker) Merritt. Salena worked as a bus driver for 21 years for the Pulaski County School System.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Rutherford; sons, Steven & (Brittany) and Josh & (Tiffany); daughters, Barb & (Jay), Cassie & (Chad), Breanna & (Mark), and Mollie Mayham; sisters, Sandra & (Larry) Glover and Sabrina & (Johnny) Vaughn; 24 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 granddog.
She is preceded in death by her mother; sister, Sonya Sue Merritt; and grandparents Ray & Vivian Merritt.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Barnes officiating.
Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
