Robert Lee Childers

Robert Lee Childers, 85, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born December 12, 1934 in Bandy, KY; son of the late Frank and Lena Hamm Childers. He was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma L. Parks Childers; two daughters, Teri Lynn & (David) Holland, and Janice Lee Childers, both of Louisville, KY; two brothers, John E. Childers of Somerset; Ralph Childers of Richmond; a sister, Wanda Arbour of Norfolk, VA; 2 grandchildren, Jessica & (Wayne) Porter and Christopher Holland; a great-granddaughter, Willow Porter; several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Melvin and Kenneth Childers.
A funeral service will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro's. Monte Wells and Don Berry officiating.
Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
Visitation for Robert will be after 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home until after services.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
