Richard Allen Mitchell

Richard "Richy" Allen Mitchell, born August 18,1965 in Somerset, KY to Gerald & Patricia (Owens) Mitchell. He made his journey into heavens gates on August 30, 2026 surround by his loved ones at his home in Burnside, Kentucky.

He was of Baptist faith. He loved to collect old die cast cars and motorcycles. He loved to drag race in his younger years. He married the love of his life Angela Michell on September 27th, 1991 in a beautiful outdoor ceremony.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 35 years; his two wonderful children, Dakota Allen Mitchell and Emily Mitchell both of Burnside, KY; his mother, Patrica Mitchell of Somerset, KY; his sister, Sheila Ramsey of Somerset, KY; his brother, Rodney Mitchell and his wife Vonda from Indiana; He also leaves behind 2 nieces, Samantha & (Jorden) Butte and Shelbie Ramsey of Somerset, KY; and 2 nephews, Keith Mitchell & (Amber Still) and Lucas & (Cassie) Mitchell; he also leaves behind to cherish his memory, 6 great-nieces and great-nephews, Brycen Butte, Carter Butte, Jude Mitchell, Aurora Mitchell, Atlas Mitchell, and Amelia Mitchell; and his fur babies, 3 dogs Little John, Gizmo and Cookie Monster and 4 cats, Binks, Trouble, Presley and Wynonna.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Gerald Mitchell.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Darry Hatfield officiating.

Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2026 after 11:00 AM until after services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form in donations to the Richard Allen Mitchell Memorial Fund c/o Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
