Rhonda Sue McCoy, 61, of Science Hill, passed away Thursday December 7th 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Rhonda was born September 15tht 1962 to Ethel Jane McCoy and Ralph McCoy in Lexington, KY.


Rhonda, aka Suzie, aka Mamaw Rhonda, was a warm-hearted, stubborn, kind, funny and loving woman. Rhonda loved everyone she ever met in life. Rhonda enjoyed watching her grandbabies' sporting events, spending time at Pulaski County Little League ball games, listening to Elvis, eating late-night snacks when everyone else was in bed, watching UK sports, and spending time with her mother, Granny Jane. Rhonda would give her whole heart to anyone and everyone that needed it and she would never let you leave without hugging you. Rhonda was Mamaw to every child she ever met. Rhonda had 8 biological grandbabies but a county full of baseball, dance, and football grandbabies that she loved and adored just like her own. We can all be at peace knowing that all of her illnesses and ailments are now healed and she is
eating midnight snacks with her dogs, Cleo and Oreo, in Heaven.


Rhonda is survived by her mother Ethel Jane McCoy of Science Hill, Ky, brother Ralph McCoy JR (Sally McCoy) Eubank, Ky, son, Corky Hendricks, Somerset, Ky, son, Rusty Hendricks, her grandbabies, Matthew Hendricks, Taylor Hendricks, Austin Garman, Will Garman, McKenzie Barnett, Gavin Hendricks, Carson Hendricks, and Elena Hendricks. Rhonda is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Three special women in her life, Joni Cable, Rachel Garman-Hendricks and Megan Berger and her BFF Ruth Clark. Rhonda was preceded in death by grandparents Lucille Hellard and Stanley Hellard and Mary McCoy and William McCoy. Her father, Ralph McCoy and her sister, Brenda Lee Haste.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00-3:00 pm on December 16th 2023 at Life Church in Somerset, Ky. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Rhonda McCoy Memorial Fund.
