Reda Ping, 66, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born January 7, 1957 in Somerset, daughter of the late Floyd "Pappy Joe" and Sylvia Hodge. She loved spending time with her family and her boyfriend Billy "BJ" Loveless. She had a very strong work ethic and was a very independent, strong, and smart woman. She loved to piddle around outside.
She is survived by three daughters, Tish Nevels (and Andy Edmon); Renée Eades (and Terry); and Cordelia Keith (and Chad); one son, Scottie Hodge (and Hartney Richardson); one sister, Sheila Bullock (and Dormas); and one brother, Dewayne Hodge (and Kimberly); eight grandsons, Michael Odquist, Jerad Nevels, Christian Hodge, Daniel Odquist, Alex Ping, Andrew Ping, Jordyn Keith, and Jacob New.
She had a host of nieces and nephews. She also had a couple of special people in her life that were not family, Andy Edmon and Brenda Gillispie. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Marilyn Foley, of Louisville; Letha Woodall, of Somerset; and Brenda Berry of Stanford; and one brother, Delmas Michael Hodge, of Eubank.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Carson Atwood officiating.
Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
