Raymond Keller (age 91) ran into the arms of His savior, joining his beloved wife, Anna Jean (Spears) Keller on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Raymond is survived by his son Larry (Cyndi), his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dr. Steven Villegas, his granddaughters, Megan (Tyler) Peters and Anna (Lucas) Gasparac, his beloved great-grandchildren, Elijah and Weston Peters and Lincoln and Harper Gasparac, four younger siblings, Wallace (Gladys) Keller, Perry (Sue) Keller, Mary Bowling, and Charles Keller, countless nieces and nephews, and his friend of over 76 years (turned brother-in-law when they married sisters), Bob (Betty) Dye.
Ray was the family photographer, meteorologist, GPS, directory, calendar, dictionary, and calculator. Lovingly dubbed the “Bureau of Miscellaneous Information” by his sister, Ray never forgot a thing, but most importantly, he never forgot your birthday, your anniversary, or a memory about you, no matter how insignificant. He always made everyone feel special.
In addition to his love of family and friends, Raymond loved God and served as a deacon in his church for many years. Raymond also served with the United States Army in Germany as a radio technician. After his military service, he continued working with electronics as a career until 1993 and for fun for the rest of his life! You could often find him tinkering with clocks and radios, fixing and restoring them. Ray never stayed still for long, in addition to all things electronic, he enjoyed playing guitar and banjo, shooting pool at the senior center, baking pies and his famous banana pudding, traveling to the Smoky Mountains and North Carolina, and was an avid exerciser – he could outrun most members of the family – and that’s how we’re certain that in the end, he ran to meet his Savior.
Raymond will be buried next to his wife at the Science Hill Cemetery in Kentucky. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 11 at 10:30AM at New Hope Baptist Church, 1401 Loveland Madeira Road, Loveland, Ohio.
