Phyllisteen Whilden

Phyllisteen Whilden, 88, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on March 22, 1937 to the late Hurl & Maysel (Brady) Mullins in Gassaway, West Virginia.

She is survived by her husband, David Whilden; her daughters, Tricia & (Guy) Wooldridge and Viola & (Jerry) Muse; her grandchildren, Hannah Denney, Rebekah Waters, Jennifer Correll-Lyles, Jesse Franklin, Elizabeth Correll, Sarah Padgett, and Bradley Correll; her great-grandchildren, Elise Padgett, Jasmine Correll, Isabella Denney, Isaac Waters, and David Waters; her step-sons, Tim Whilden and Rick Whilden; her step-daughters, Valerie Hogan and Pam Manning; a brother, Presley Mullins; her sisters, Pat Patton, Shelia Kidwell, and Darlene Smith; eleven step grandchildren; twenty-nine step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Mick; her parents; a brother, Butch Mullins; a sister, Shirley Mullins; one grandchild; one step grandchild; and one step great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Ashley officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens with Bro. Chris Fain officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
