Peggy Kaufman

Peggy S. (Hibbard) Kaufman 66, of Nashville, Indiana passed from this life on April 20th, 2026

Peggy was born on December 8, 1959, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Melvin and Elma (Adams) Hibbard.

She found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. Peggy loved the outdoors, especially ginseng hunting and fishing, where she could take in the quiet beauty of nature. She had a special appreciation for collecting, treasuring her Native American memorabilia, Longaberger baskets, and nesting dolls-each piece reflecting her love for history, tradition, and craftsmanship.

Above all, Peggy cherished her family and friends. The love she gave and the memories she created will be forever held close by those who knew her. Her life is beautifully reflected in the words of Proverbs 31:28 & 30: "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her... Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised."

Peggy is survived by her husband Greg Kaufman of Nashville Indiana, whom she married on September 7th, 1979; her two sons, Chris & (Sheena) Kaufman of Nashville, Indiana and David Kaufman of Bloomington; her two sisters, Vicky Surface and Donna Donaldson, both of Nineveh, Indiana; three grandchildren, Norma and Sara Kaufman of Nashville and Oliver Kaufman of Bloomington; Along with several more nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Whitaker Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
