Paul M. Evans, 64, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018.

He was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on March 29, 1954, son of the late Wilmer and Maxine Robinson Evans. He was a marine technician for 38 years and in 2001 he opened Paul's Marine. He was an active member of Quinton Baptist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Lakeport Airboaters Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and car racing. He raced at Lake Cumberland Speedway, where he was know to many as "The Clone". He loved his winter home in Okeechobee, FL, where he spent lots of hours fishing and riding his airboat.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Deatherage Evans, two sons, Brian Paul Evans and Justin Lewis, one daughter, Desaray & (Jacob) Bowman, one sister, Linda & (Ken) Nichols, two sisters-in-laws, Pam & (John) Stagg and Tina & (Doug) Tillett, two grandchildren, Kayce Evans and Renick Bowman, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George Evans and Rodney Evans and one sister, Effie Bullock.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, July 6, 2018 at Quinton Baptist Church, 2609 KY-790, Bronston, Kentucky with Bro. Jack Stallsworth officiating.

Burial will be in Quinton Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 PM Thursday at Quinton Baptist Church.
