Paul Raymond Cox, 73, of Somerset, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 7, 1950; son of the late Raymond and Mary Katherine (Waddle) Cox. He retired from Tecumseh after 30 years of employment. He loved fishing, gardening, and hunting mushrooms. Most of all he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. Paul enjoyed running in high school and college. He was a graduate of Somerset High School and Somerset Community College. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Delores (Denney) Cox; their children, Jimmy Smith and Thersa Case; siblings, Kerry & (Tammy) Cox, Alice Wirth, Ginny & (Elwood) Howe, Jan Cox & (Kathy Oldham), Kathy & (Jerry) Bell; sister-in-law, Freddie & (Curtis) Todd; grandchildren, Brittany Bucher-Case & (Travis), Amber & (Shane) Adamov, Jordan & (Destiny) Smith, Corey Case, Jeremy Case, Sydney Case; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Brielle, Autumn, Cullan, Briar, Tanner, Ryan, Everleigh, Silas.
A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
