Patricia Aillena Scales

Patricia Aillena Hodge Scales departed this world Thursday, July 9, 2026. She was born on April 15, 1959 to the late Quincy Bass & Angeline Marie (Adams) Hodge in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Patricia grew up in the Church of God. She was a 1976 graduate of Princeton High school. She worked many years as a cashier and produce clerk at Save-A-Lot and Krogers and did the cleaning at Get Fit gym. Patricia married the love of her life, Patrick Scales, on May 15, 2004.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Patrick Scales; her children, Kristy & (Eddie Piercy) Smith of Somerset, Aaron & (Sabrina) Smith of Cincinnati, Brad Smith of Cincinnati, Sarah Scales of Cincinnati, and her adopted daughter, Casi & (Cody) Carpenter of Somerset; her sister, Peggy Spears of Somerset; her grandchildren, Hailey, Dylan, and Jaxon Smith, David Lee McFarland, Brady Shelton, Rhenium, Myles, and Lara Smith, Ravon and Raymere Scales; 18 nieces and nephews and 9 great-nieces and great-nephews with 2 more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother & father-in-law, JC & Patricia Scales; both sets of grandparents; her brother, Daryl Hodge; a brother-in-law, Arthur Lewis Spears; sister-in-law, Kim Scales; all of her aunts and uncles; several cousins and her great-great-niece, Brynlee Strunk.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ernie Wyatt officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
