Otis McCoy "Coy" Wilson, 87, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 16, 1930, son of the late William "Willie P." Preston and Mary Louisa Scales Wilson. Coy is best remembered for his many years of owning and operating "Wilson's Antiques & Gifts" in Burnside, KY for over 30 years. Prior to that he assumed ownership of the family business, "Wilson's Slaughter House" that was in operation for over 30 years. Coy was a lifetime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Coy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Eileen Moore Wilson and his six children, Terry Wilson of Nashville, TN, Paul Wilson of Somerset, Kathy Perdue of Crab Orchard, KY, Pam Blincoe of Kings Mountain, NC, Steve Wilson of Somerset and Mary Foley of Eubank. He will also be fondly remembered by his twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one brother, John Wilson of Somerset as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymond Wilson, one sister, Helen Snyder, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with John Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
Visitation will be after 5 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
