Opal Roberts

Opal Roberts, 95, of Eubank, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her residence.

 

She was born November 2, 1925 in Rockcastle County; daughter of the late Lewis W. & Flaura (Hamlin) Renner. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.

 

She is survived by four children, Phyllis Miracle of Eubank, Troy Lee & (Nora) Roberts of Eubank, Timothy Lynn & (Connie) Roberts of Kings Mountain, and Anthony Leland & (Ruth) Roberts of Eubank; a sister, Beulah Brock of Indianapolis, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Lee Roberts, to whom she was married on August 28, 1948 until his passing on November 8, 1997; a daughter, Regina Robinson; two brothers, George & Glen Renner; two sisters, Alta Spoonamore and Evelyn Seals; one grandchild, Gina Ann Robinson; and one great-grandchild, Kristy Leann Robinson.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Letcher Napier, Bro. Ricky Saylor, and Bro. Aaron Hogue officiating.

 

Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
