Norman Ray "Beetle" Wesley

June 16, 1942 — September 14, 2019

Norman Ray "Beetle" Wesley, 77, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Veterans Medical Center, Lexington, KY.

He was born on June 16, 1942 in Ansel, KY; son of the late Carl Don and Mary Edith Dick Wesley. He was a technician for Sears, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Cumberland Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Laffely Wesley; two sons, Timothy Ray Wesley of Science Hill; Leslie Ray Lawson of Summitt, Mississippi; four daughters, Katrina Renee Beasley of Science Hill; Tabitha Jo Whitehead and Pamela Denise Estes, both of Somerset; Tammy Lee Helton of Whitley City, KY; a brother, Vernon "Preach" Wesley of Science Hill; eighteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles Jacob "Jake" Troxell; two brothers, Royce Wesley, Roy "Duke" Wesley and two sisters, Doris Loveless and Joyce Phillips.

A funeral service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Wallace officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #38.

Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday, September 16, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
