Norman Eugene Hurt, 81, of Eubank, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the Cumberland Nursing & Rehab.
He was born April 2, 1939 in Somerset; son of the late Garnett Hurt & Sarah Wesley & (Ed) Hall. He was a farmer & a South East Kentucky Milk Producer for Southern Belle. He was an AI Technician for the Kentucky Artificial Breeding Association and a past employee for Southern States.
He is survived by his children, Anita & (Steve) Caron of Science Hill, Amy & (Zyndall) Haste of Somerset; William & (Mitzi) Hurt of Stanford; and Scott & (Christi) Hurt of Lexington; a brother, Harold Hurt of Somerset; two sisters, Mary Bonner of Anderson, Indiana & Lucy Ludwig of Glendale, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Stephanie & (Justin) Gillis, Jonathan & (Sydney) Caron, Darin & (Emilee) Haste, Allison Haste, Matthew & (Bridget) Hurt, Ameila Hurt, Lauren Hurt, and Daniel Hurt; seven great-grandchildren; four nieces; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Godbey Hurt; a son, Christopher E. Hurt; a brother, Rocky A. Hurt; and a grandson, Mark Haste.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Roberts officiating.
Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Mark Allen Haste Spirit of the Band College Scholarship Fund in memory of Norman's beloved grandson.
