Nellean Elizabeth Debord

Nellean "Nellie" Elizabeth Debord, 87, Somerset, passed away, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at her daughter's residence.

She was born December 25, 1934 in Walnut Grove, Kentucky; daughter of the late Charlie & Olgia Lucy (Debord) Thompson. Nellean worked for many years at Caldon's in Stanford. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker, loved gardening, working on the farm, going to church, and always loved helping others. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Debord and Darlene Pence, both of Somerset; two sisters, Eulala Rogers of Bronston and Joyce Thompson of Cincinnati; two granddaughters, Angela & (Jody) Collins of Eubank and Deanna & (Cody) Faught of Somerset; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Collins, Bailey Collins, Elena Faught.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Everette Debord, to whom she was married on April 25, 1953 for 69 years until his passing; a brother, Wilburn & (Jean) Thompson; a sister, VelmaLee Brown.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Griffin and Bro. Timothy Lewis officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Willailla.

Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Friday, March 18, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
