Morgan Jefferson Spencer Sr., 92, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at his residence.
Morgan was born on March 17, 1933, in Floyd, New Mexico, to the late Andy and Roxie (Campbell) Spencer. He worked faithfully as the City Foreman for Lockland, Ohio, dedicating 15 years of service. After moving to Kentucky, he continued his strong work ethic by working in blacktopping and road construction. Morgan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and farming, and especially loved digging ginseng.
He was a devoted member of Cuba Church, a great mentor, and a steady presence for his entire family. Morgan dearly loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, guidance, and the deep love he had for his family.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff & (Donna) Spencer, Robert Spencer & (Heather Rosenberger), and Ernest Spencer & (Kim Cress); his daughters, Frances & (Delbert) Mitchell, and Michelle & (Steve) Coffey; fourteen grandchildren, Belinda, Robbie, LeeAnne, Kendra, Natalie, Tiffany, D.J., Kelli, Courtney, Spencer, Sonia, Mykal, Lacey, and Macey; nineteen great-grandchildren, Mikel, Braeden, Jaycee, Parker, Morgan, Zander, Braxton, Chloe, Jaxon, Ellie, Emily, Zack, Dalton, Micah, Asher, Brayden, Kohen, Jacob, and Andrew; three great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; a brother-in-law, Verlin Cress; a sister-in-law, Ilene Morgan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Vina Pearl Spencer; and his sisters, Nora & (Charles) Sims, Pearlene & (Foster) Warfield, Reva Cress, and Shirley Spencer, who died in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Johnson and Bro. Troy Roberts officiating.
Burial will be at the Spencer Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
