Michael Wayne Childers

Michael Wayne Childers, age 70, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at his residence in Burnside, Kentucky.

Michael was born January 21, 1956 to the late John & Verna Mae (Howell) Childers in Somerset, Kentucky. He found joy in working with his hands, whether he was building birdhouses, crafting woodworking projects, building model cars, or tinkering with motors. He was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by three children, Chishona Childers, Amanda Childers, and Scott Sellers; three grandchildren, Braelynn Weber, Bradyn Childers, and Donovan Sellers; and one sister, Karen New. He is also survived by a special friend that is like a brother, Larry "Pete" Owens.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carla Childers; and one sister, Linda Tucker.

Private services will be held.
