Mereda Moore

Mereda June Moore, 83, of Science Hill passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at the Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation facility in Jamestown.

She was born September 23, 1940 in Pulaski County; daughter of the late Linville & Doris (Kissee) Burkett. She worked as a beautician.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Jacob Moore of Richmond & Tyrese Garrett of Science Hill; and a brother, Tom Burkett of Eubank.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Allen Moore; a daughter, Donna Moore-Young; two brothers, Phillip Kissee and Sonny Burkett; and two sisters, Patricia Vaught and Sheila Baker.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
