Martha Karen Dye

Martha Karen Dye, 78, of Russell Springs, Kentucky and formerly from Science Hill passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Fair Oaks Health & Rehab.

She was born on September 12, 1948 to the late James Oscar & Fern Virginia (Cain) Eastham in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Karen was of the Baptist faith and cherished attending church alongside her sister, Jo. She found joy in the simple things in life, especially quilting and spending time along the beach, walking the shoreline and searching for seashells. She had a special appreciation for nature and loved watching and feeding the birds that visited her. Karen was never a fan of winter or snow and eagerly welcomed the warmer months, when she could once again enjoy the outdoors and all the beauty they brought. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and the special memories they made together.

Karen is survived by her children, Melissa & (David) Goff of Georgetown, KY, Rusty & (Missie) Dye of Russell Springs, KY, and James & (Melissa) Dye of Somerset, KY; her grandchildren, David Michael Goff II, Wyatt Lee Dye, Erissa Hadley, Jaelyn Dye, Macey Molden Dye, and Nevin Fent; her great-grandchildren, Beckham Fent and Chance Dye; and her siblings, Bill & (Ann) Eastham of Fairfax, OH, Mike Eastham of Somerset, KY, Mark & (Dianne) Eastham of Crittenden, KY, Dorothy Vaught of Somerset, KY, Joyce Vaught of Science Hill, KY, Pat Shepherd of Georgia, Vicky Yeary of Florence, KY, and Tammy & (Darrell) Petrey of Science Hill, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Dye; her grandson, Daris Fent; her brother, Jimmy Eastham; and her sister, Ruth Ann Dick.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Eastham officiating.

Burial will follow in the Carter Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until time for services.
