Marie Mink

Marie Mink, 71, of Somerset, passed away, Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born August 8, 1951 in Clay County; daughter of the late Frank & Beatrice (Garrison) Sawyers. She was a retired CNA at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital where she had worked for over 30 years.

She is survived by her sister, Bertha Burdine; nieces, Jessica & (Brian) Slavey, Betty & (Rick) Ping, Jean Sawyers, Alisha Thomas, Kim & (Barry) Strunk; a nephew, Alan & (Rhonda) Slavey; along with a host of great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by sister, Marcia Slavey and brother, Michael Sawyers.

Marie touched so many lives from her work at the hospital and her volunteer work at God's Helping Hands. She was known and loved by many. Marie was of the Christian faith.

Per Marie's request arrangements shall remain private and in lieu of flowers, she had requested donations be made to the Marie Mink Memorial Fund.
