Margaret Francis "Peggy" Stanton

Margaret Francis "Peggy" Stanton, 87, of Somerset, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

She was born on April 18, 1933 in Buncombe, Kentucky; daughter of the late Dorcey Emil & Martha Jane (Saylor) Slagle.

She is survived by a son, Michael Dungan of Danville; eight grandchildren, Kristie Dungan, Erin Wolf, Charles McKenzie Dungan, Willie Dungan, Dustin Dungan, Lisa Collins, Velesta Moffett, & Jessica Moffett; eight great-grandchildren, Emily & (Nic) Jones, Olivia Maxey, McKenzie & Lillie Dungan, Joe, Sara, Seth Wolf, & Lane Dungan; and five great-great-grandchildren, Treyton Jones, Hayden Jones, Easton Jones, Natalie Hines, & Nora Hines.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert "Bob" Dungan; her second husband, Robert "Boog" Stanton; two sons, Jack Dungan & Charles Dungan; two daughters, Connie Dungan & Mary Ann Dungan; nine brothers, Charles Slagle, Lawrence Slagle, Vernon Slagle, Lee Opal Slagle, Haskell Slagle, William "Bill" Slagle, Frank Slagle, & Jesse Saylor; eight sisters, Shirley Marie Dobbs, Audna Brewer, Iva Slagle, Eva Slagle, Vada Slagle Unthank, Reba Sparks, Edna Stutzman, & Elizabeth Jones.

A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Sister Jessica Hall officiating.

Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
