Franklin Sutton

Luther Franklin Sutton, age 90, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Cumberland Nursing & Rehab in Somerset, Kentucky.

Franklin was born on April 13, 1935 to the late Luther and Leila (Smith) Sutton. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ. Frank was a lifelong farmer who took great pride in working the land. He found purpose in early mornings, open fields, and the satisfaction of a hard day's work.

He is survived by his three daughters, Fern & (Roger) Bruner, Pam & (Bobby) Woodall both of Somerset, KY, and Jan Sutton of Georgetown, KY; two sisters, Pauline Tanner of Loveland, OH and Eleanor Lovins of Brooks, KY; three sisters-in-law, Charlotte Robbins of Williamsburg, OH, Faye Sutton of Norwood, OH, and Charlotte Sutton of Somerset, KY; five grandchildren, Jessica & (Brian) Lau, Brittany & (Derrick) Moore, Emily & (David) Hankins, Michael Bruner, and Sarah & (Will) Eversole; and nine great-grandchildren, Trager Eversole, Skyler Eversole, Ariella Eversole, Micah Lau, Noah Hankins, Ethan Hankins, Breanna Moore, Nicholas Moore, and Oliver Moore.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Robbins) Sutton; three brothers, Harold Sutton, Clarence Sutton, and Tommy Sutton; and one sister, Thelma Colyer.

Private services will be held.
