Lureda Kaye Presley

Lureda Kaye Meece Presley, 78, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on April 10, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

Lureda was born on September 23, 1947, in Pulaski County to the late Chester and Emily Ellen (Emma) Rumbo Meece. She retired as a dedicated mental health technician from Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where she faithfully served for many years. Above all, Lureda cherished her family and found her greatest joy in the love she shared with them.

She is survived by her children, Rodney & (Rhonda) Presley, Sheleda Howson, Brian & (Ann) Presley, and Elmer & (Lisa) Presley; her grandchildren, Samantha & (Josh) Thompson, Sharolette & (Corey) Coots, Leroy Howson, Shonda Brown, Brandon Presley, Devin & (Samantha) Presley, Tanner & (Lexie) Presley, and Megan Presley & (Cole Barron); 9 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Vester Ray & (Sharon) Meece and Jerry Lee Meece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, and a brother who died in infancy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating.

Burial will be at the Chesterview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
