Lucy D. Smith

Lucy Smith, 93, of Yosemite, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at her home in Mt. Olive.

She was born on August 13, 1925 in Casey County to the late Henry and Gletha Cooper Bastin. Lucy was married to Robert "Bob" Smith on May 14, 1943. She was a member of Eubank Church of Christ. She loved gardening, canning, and working on the farm.

Lucy is survived by sons, James & (Joyce) Smith, Janis & (Nancy) Smith, Michael & (Janice) Smith; daughter, Ethel & (Robert) Roy; she is also survived by eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona Bentley, Louetta McAninch, and Lela Stith; one brother, Keith Bastin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Lois Williams; and her brothers, Lelus Sims, Arnold Bastin, Earl Bastin, and Lewis Bastin.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.

Burial will be Salyers Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
