Lonnie Ray Mullins, 81, of Yosemite, passed away Monday, December 13th, at the Casey County Hospital.
Born June 22nd, 1940 in Yosemite, KY. He was the son of the late Edward and Deva Mullins.
Lonnie was a member and trustee of Polly Ann Baptist Church in Eubank, KY. He co-owned Green View Farms, Inc., where he received numerous State and National Awards participating in competitions. He also received the American Farmer Degree. He served the community as Chairman of the Soil Conservation and Casey County Hospital Board. He was bestowed the honor of being commissioned Kentucky Colonel by the Governor of Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bobbye Elliott Mullins; two sons, Kevin & (Marilyn) Mullins and Bryan Mullins; one daughter, Mecia & (Brian) Jacobs; four sisters, Betty & (Charlie) Rader, Brenda & (David) Stringer, Sandra Peterson, and Karen Pyles; a brother, Terry & (Jeanie) Mullins; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Pete Peterson and Don Pyles.
Lonnie enjoyed time with his family, his Christian family, his dear friends, singing in the quartet, UK Basketball, and all animals.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Casey County Memorial Gardens in Liberty, Kentucky with Bro. Terry Holt officiating.
