Lisa J Denney

November 12, 1965 — April 8, 2019

Lisa Denney, 53, of Eubank, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Denney; her children, Aaron & (Jenny) Denney, Rachel Denney, & Cain Denney; her grandchildren, Lucas, Isaac, & Levi; her mother, Anna Lee Dungan; her sister Tammy & (Jamie) Board; her close nephews Ryan & Cole Lanigan, that she considered children; many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and those she "adopted" over the years as her own kids.

Lisa was a graduate of Eubank/Pulaski County High School where she played basketball throughout her high school career. She went on to obtain a Master's degree in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University which she then used to teach Psychology at EKU London campus. She worked at several agencies over her early years as social worker and counselor serving Eastern Kentucky. She loved working in the Appalachia Region.

She had poetry and short stories published in various publications. She was a wonderful writer, poet, lover of sunsets, and free thinker. She touched many lives and will forever leave an impression on them.

Services will be held Saturday April 13, 2019 at 2 PM at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday April 13, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
