Rev. Lindell E. Wethington, 79, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018.
He was born in Ohio on October 10, 1938, son of the late Linwood Edward Wethington and Grace Paralee Miller Wethington. He was a retired truck driver who later served as a minister for many years. He also served as a chaplain for Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for a number of years. He enjoyed volunteer work and the church. He was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church and the AMVETS. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Roberts Wethington, five children, Timothy Allen & (Patti) Wethington, Ronald Edward & (Kimberly) Wethington, Diana Lynn & (Phillip) Durham, Dewey Lee Wethington and Cynthia Sue Dirosa, three step children, Dale & (Marcia) Johnson, Kenneth & (Julie) Johnson and Roy Johnson, one brother, Donnie Wethington, two sisters, Debbie Cools and Eva Play, sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Clida Delores Douglas Wethington, one brother, Gary Wethington and one sister, Virginia Hudson.
A funeral service will be held at 5 PM Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Monte Wells officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 2 PM Thursday until time for funeral service.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
