Linda Susan Jones

Linda Susan Jones, 69, of Eubank, passed from this life on Sunday, May 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She departed peacefully at her residence, with her family by her side.

Linda was the eldest of 6 children, born to Virgil Thaddeus "Thad" and Lois (Evans) Eubank in Cincinnati, Ohio. She enjoyed reading and watching crime/drama television. One of her many talents was sewing, which she gave up, probably so her family would stop asking her to replace zippers. She also enjoyed baking, and her most requested dish was chess bars. Linda worked in the financial industry for over 20 years, and eventually retired as an Office Administrator from Cowan Financial Services in Somerset, KY. Above all, Linda valued her relationship with God, and was a devout member of Oak Grove Church of Christ. She loved her church family and was blessed to have their prayers, and support over the years.

She is survived by her father; her two children, Timothy Lewis of Eubank and Stephanie Wesley; three siblings, Malena Whitaker, Michelle Measel, and Tim Eubank; a brother-in-law, Mike Measel; two grandchildren, Jamie & (Ian) Kapustka and Isaiah Wesley; three nieces and nephews, Jessica & (Derrick) Vaught, Matthew Whitaker, and Katie & (Corey) Robinson; two great-nephews, and one great-niece, Benjamin and Scarlett Vaught, and Chandler Robinson; she also leaves behind her best friend, Rhonda Shadoan.

She is preceded in death by her mother and two siblings, Lemont Eubank and Kathy Eubank.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held.

Burial will be in Griffin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
