Linda "Kay" Godby

Linda "Kay" Godby, 70, of Science Hill, passed away Tuesday October 15, 2019 at her residence.

She was born in Somerset on July 8, 1949; daughter of the late Junior & Bertha Jones. She worked as a Child Care Provider, where she touched many lives, and was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she served as secretary.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Coy Godby; a son, Jeff & (Fiancè, Cheryl Nantz) Godby of Stanford; three daughters, Melissa & (Bob) Archer of Somerset, Pam Middleton of Science Hill, and Becky & (Greg) Greer of Waynesburg; two sisters, Brenda Sue & (Carl) Prall of White House, Ohio and Noma Jean & (Gary) Payne of Cinncinati; and six grandchildren, James Allen, Rickie, Brittany, Trevor, Faith, and Craig.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Jones; and a grandchild, Amber.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Evans officiating.

Burial will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund.
