Linda Buchanan

Linda Mae Rutherford Buchanan, 73, of Eubank, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on July 13, 1950; daughter of the late Clarence Evans and Hazel (Spears) Rutherford. She worked throughout her life in various roles including cashiering, and cooking. Linda was a member of Eubank Baptist Church. She loved laying on the sofa and watching westerns, playing games on her phone, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Lynn Buchanan; her son, William Allen & (Shannon) Buchanan; a brother, Tommy Rutherford; three grandchildren, Trey Carey, Titus Carey, and Keira Buchanan; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Buchanan; her parents; siblings, Clifford Rutherford, Opal Jewell Habermehl, Mary Dean Nash, and Barbara Cleo Brock.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 5, 2024 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Herd officiating.

Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11:00 AM Friday, January 5, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
