Lewis Ruckel

Lewis Junior Ruckel, 89, of Eubank, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born December 13, 1932 in Eubank, KY; son of the late Henry & Ruby Spaw Ruckel. He was a retired employee of Tecumseh, a farmer, and a U.S. Army Veteran. Lewis was a member of the Polly Ann Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy May Ruckel of 56 years; two daughters, Beverly & (Gary) Estes of Eubank; Pam & (Kenny) Campbell of Georgetown, KY; two brothers, Lloyd Ruckel of Waynesburg and Leland Ruckel of Eubank; two sisters, Wilma Jean Daniels of Eubank and Betty Jane Allen of Centre, Alabama; four grandchildren, Justin and Jonathan Smith, Jessica McClintock, Elizabeth & (Brad) Kelly; two step grandchildren, Allen and Adam Estes; several great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews and a special friend, J.T. Stogsdill.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Linville, Leonard and Larry Ruckel; a sister, Juanita Back and a grandson-in-law, Rob McClintock.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Holt officiating.

Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11 AM Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home until time for services.

The family request in lieu of flowers that the form of donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.

At the request of the family visitors are asked to wear a face mask when entering the chapel.
