Leland Zane McDonnell, also known as Zane Leland Wayne Munger, passed away on April 19, 2024, in Eubank, KY, at the age of 86. He was born on December 5, 1937, in Holland, Ohio.

Leland, affectionately known as Capt. Lee, Chopper, or Big Mac, was a true outdoorsman who found joy in the natural elements. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, captaining boats, traveling, camping in his RV, and engaging in lively conversations on his CB radio with his many friends.

In his military service, Leland was associated with the US Army Company A, 45 Medical Battalion in Germany from 1955 to 1958. He then pursued various career paths, working as a newspaper boy, pinsetter, mechanic, truck driver for Delta Tooling in Auburn Heights, MI, and as a farmer.

Leland is survived by his loving wife, Madelyn (Mimi); his daughter, Tammy Munger; sons, Jerry and Michael Munger; grandson, Matt Smith; daughter-in-law, Debi Munger; and grandson, Scott Munger. He was preceded in death by his father, J.L. Munger; mother, Zeitha Betts; sister, Patricia Dunn; brother, Ross Munger; sons, David, Glenn, and Dennis Munger; and grandson, Jason Munger.

Leland's hobbies included boating with the Port Huron Power Squadron, motorcycling with the American Gold Wing Association and Harley Owners Group of South Eastern Great Lakes, running his website, Big Mac's Electronics, camping in his RV, and spending time with his 5 dogs and 1 cat.

A nature lover who saw God's handiwork in all natural beauty, Lee found solace in his faith, where Jesus was his savior.

Special thanks to his nephew, Dranon Dunn, (Ce'nedra), the Veterans' Administration, Lake Cumberalnd Hospice, Crisis Care Team, Home Helpers, and Amedisys for their loving care and support during his last few months. He was thankful for all his CB radio friends, treasured his friendship with neighbors David Ball, Brian Ping, Robbie Todd, and John Lee Baker.
