Kathy Sue Ruckel

Kathy Sue Ruckel, 68, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was boron on March 17, 1958 in Eubank, Kentucky to the late Larry Pleman & Evelyn Rose (Collins) Ruckel. Kathy was a faithful member of Polly Ann Baptist Church and found great joy in her church family and community. She worked for many years at Ruckel's Grocery, where her warm personality and kind spirit allowed her to form countless lasting friendships. Kathy was the beloved granddaughter of the late Henry P. and Ruby (Spaw) Ruckel and the late Chester and Mattie (Lyttle) Collins.

She leaves behind a host of loving family members and dear friends who will cherish the memories they shared with her. Kathy's kindness, generosity, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a treasured friend, a devoted family member, and simply one of the best people anyone could have been blessed to know.

She is survived by her brother, Larry Montez & (Debra) Ruckel; a neice, Marisa Danielle & (Joey) Holmes; a nephew, Elisha Dhane; a great nephew, Sawyer Taylor; and a great niece, Bexley Rose, all who were the loves of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Montgomery, Bro. Landon Ruckel, and Sister Jessica Hall officiating.

Burial will be at Double Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, June 5, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
