Katharyn Jasper Martin

  Mrs. Katharyn (Jasper) “Kathy” Martin, of Somerset, Kentucky died Tuesday, October 25, 2022 having attained the age of 70 years & 29 days. She was born in the Mintonville Community of Pulaski County, Kentucky on Friday, September 26, 1952 the daughter of Elmer & Grace (Wallace) Jasper. She was a Christian Lady, Church Pianist, and Sunday School Teacher. She retired from Oakwood in Somerset. She was an avid Genealogist and helped many trace their roots. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys Ard, Jessie Waddle, Ruby Delk, Jimmie Jasper, Hazel Wesley, Jack Jasper & Willard Jasper all of whom she loved dearly.

      She is survived by her Husband, Larry R. Martin of Somerset, whom she wed on Friday, October 11, 1974, step-daughter, Gina (Martin) Gibson of Lexington, Kentucky, sister, Margaret (Jasper) “Patty” James of Eubank, Kentucky, many nieces & Nephews.

     The Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, with Bro. David Eastham officiating. Casket Bearers will be Dwayne James, Rick West, David Jasper, Ronnie Molen Terry Redmon & Marty Marcum. The family will receive friends after 12 noon Saturday until the funeral hour at Morris & Hislope. Burial will be in the Woodstock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Woodstock Cemetery, Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Mintonville Cemetery in her memory.
