Karolyn Davenport

Karolyn Sue Davenport, 72, of Waynesburg, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on April 19, 1950; daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Durham) Estes. She worked in Quality Control at Mitusha in Danville until her retirement. She was a very loving mother, grandma, and nanny. She loved her family unconditionally. She was also a very loving mother to her fur babies Lucy and BoBo. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and collecting old coins and things. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved having all of her family together at Christmas time, most of all her joy came from spending time together. She worked all of her life until she retired. She also enjoyed going to church. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Huey of Waynesburg; siblings, Loretta Estes Hardwick & (James), Fred Estes Jr. & (Amber), Roger Estes & (Brianna) Marsha Salyers, Elvis Estes & (Brianna); Cindy's dad, Jim Davenport of Florida; a brother-in-law, Mike Young; a sister-in-law, Linda & (George) Davenport two grandchildren, Eric & (April) McDaniel, Steven & (Amber) Dunagan; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter Taylor, Eric McDaniel, Jr., Kylee McDaniel, Chase McDaniel, Steven Dunagan, Rylee Dunagan, Alyssa Dunagan. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Regina Young and Connie Durham; a brother, Roger Dale Estes; mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Edith Davenport. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Joey Simmons and Bro. David Eastham officiating. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Tuesday, until time for services. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
