Joyce Yvonne Morgan

Joyce Yvonne Morgan, 88 of Tampa FL passed from this life and into her eternal home on September 19, 2022.

Joyce was born on July 26, 1934 in Somerset KY. She was the daughter of the late Roy Lee Cooper and Pearl Marie (Dickerson) Cooper.

Joyce was a long-time member of the Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Pulaski County High School. After graduation she worked as a seamstress at Palm Beach in Somerset. In 1953 she moved to Dayton OH and worked at McCall’s Printing where she met the love of her life Dalton Morgan from Oakdale TN. They were married on April 14, 1956 in Liberty IN. In 1982 they moved to Collierville TN where she worked in jewelry sales for Best, Jaccard’s and Kay Jewelers. In 1989 she left the Jewelry business to pursue her longtime hobby of Junking and turned it into a thriving business as an Antique Dealer. At one time she was in 10 different Antique Malls in Memphis and 1 in Somerset. In March of 2022 Joyce and Dalton moved to Tampa FL.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband Dalton Morgan of Tampa FL. Son Wayne Morgan of Tampa FL. Grandson Michael (Lisa) Morgan of Lake Mary FL. Granddaughter Michelle (Todd) Mitchell of Carlisle OH. 5 Great Grandchildren Emma Morgan, Luke Morgan, Callen Mitchell, Vinny Mitchell and Mac Mitchell. 2 brothers Larry Cooper of Somerset KY and Don (Kathy) Cooper of Science Hill KY. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends who mourn her passing.

Joyce is preceded in death by her loving Parents Roy Lee Cooper, Pearl Marie (Dickerson) Cooper, sister Elaine Margret Wells and brother James Lee Cooper.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Ponder officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
