In Loving Memory of a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend.
Johnny Dale Walls, 79, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born on May 30, 1947 to the late Carlos & Pauline (Baugh) Walls in Casey County, Kentucky.
To know Johnny was to know a quiet, gentle strength, and a generous spirit, a warmth that welcomed everyone who crossed his path. Above all else, he loved the Lord. His faith wasn't something he spoke about. It was the guiding light of his life. It showed through by the way he treated others, in his soft spoken wisdom and in the peace he carried with him. Nowhere was his faith more evident than when he was playing Bluegrass Gospel Music. His music was an expression of his devotion, praise, and heart.
Johnny was a hard working man who spent much of his life as a truck driver. That same dedication carried over into his garage, where he loved to rebuild old vintage Chevy trucks. But of all the titles he held, one of his greatest joys was being a grandfather. He loved his grandchildren with every fiber of his being. No matter how tired he might have been, the sight of his grandchildrencould put a smile on his face. They were the light of his life.
To Louise, he was her partner, her rock, and the love of her life. While our hearts ache with his absence, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord, playing his music in sweet harmony. You will forever be loved, missed, and cherished in our hearts. Until we meet again.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Louise (Caldwell) Walls; two daughters, Carolyn Warner & Tabitha Walls; his grandchildren, Kenny & (Samantha) Warner, McKenzie & (Sam) Thompson, and Carly Meyer; great-grandchildren, Kenley, Kendale, Kennadi, Lorelai, Weston, Lainey, and Journey; and his siblings, Lloyd Walls, Donald Walls, Ronnie Walls, Sammy Walls, and Barry Walls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Justin Stamper; and his siblings, Laymon Walls, Jimmy Walls, Darrell Walls, Sue Oney, and Norman Walls.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form in donations to the Johnny Dale Walls Memorial Fund c/o Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
