Johnie Lloyd Waters

Bro. Johnie Lloyd Waters, 84, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

He was born May 23, 1938 in Pulaski County; son of the late Stanley & Ida (Dick) Waters. He was a member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church. He was an entrepreneur and accomplished many things in his lifetime, as well as serving the community as a local minister.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna (Copenhaver) Waters; a son, Scott Lloyd & (Alisha) Waters of Somerset; a brother, Jesse & (Eunice) Waters of Cincinnati; a sister, Mary Black & (Larry Dean) of Eubank; and three grandchildren, Maci & (Cody) Tomlison of Somerset, and Brayden & Tayler Waters, both of Somerset.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Larry Waters; and a sister, Beulah McDonald.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
