John Michael Shelly

John Michael Shelly, Jr., Born May 12, 1946, in Trenton, N.J. son of Jack and Helen Shelly, Sr. passed away on July 12, 2020.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Jo Ella Ramsey Shelly and his two children, Brent (Amy) Shelly and Heidi Shelly. His grandchildren, Brandon Head, Sean Shelly, Savannah Head, and Luke Shelly. One brother, James Shelly and 5 sisters, Ann (Tommy) Brown, Kathy (Joe) Drulis, Maureen Immordino, Mary Jacqueline Shelly, and Susie DeAngelo and numerous nieces and nephews and long time friend Lisa Criswell.

He is preceeded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joseph Shelly and Robert Shelly and a brother-in-law, Edward DeAngelo.

Michael was a member of St. Mildred's Catholic Church. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, attended Bellarmine University and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was an avid golfer, member of Woodson Bend Golf Resort, and lover of Long Beach Island, NJ. He was a manager and partner of one of the first Long John Silvers franchises.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, July 16, 2020 at St. Mildred's Catholic Church, Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 17, 2020 at St. Mildred's Catholic Church with a brief visitation prior to the service at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 393, Somerset, KY 42503.
